(Yes there is a space between = and disabled)
Not sure why this happened or how the command helps, just know that it does and move on.
This site gives a great step x step on installing and configuring TightVNC Server on the Raspberry Pi. As a consequence, it also provides an example of creating a “service” style init.d file to auto run the TightVNC server on boot.
When doing the initial setup of my Raspberry Pi b+, I change the password from the default ‘raspberry’. I was able to log in using the keyboard without any issues.
When I tried to access the Pi over the network using Putty SSH, I continually received ‘Access Denied’ errors. Many Internet searches came up with many ideas but were not solutions.
I decided to set the password back to ‘raspberry’ at which time I was able to log in using Putty SSH immediately. I tested again by changing my password to just basic a-z0-9 values…and I was in instantly.
So keep passwords simple.
At an Admin Command Prompt:
Powercfg -h off
Done…gone…enjoy the extra space 🙂
